Finix Named to Forbes Fintech 50
The Forbes Fintech 50 has come to be the definitive ranking of the world's most innovative financial technology companies changing the way people save, spend, and invest. We're honored to have been selected for this exclusive list alongside several fintech pioneers, many of whom we admire– and even a few we partner with. While winning awards isn't a worthy goal in its own right, we feel our selection this year affirms the undeniable trend that payments is fast becoming a core component of every software company. In 2019, we tripled headcount and raised over $50 million from Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, Visa, and others to pursue this vision and build infrastructure for the next generation of billion-dollar payments companies.
We’re old enough to remember when payments were completely separate from the user experience and an afterthought for most software companies–something you bolt on later. Modern companies now know that payments have to be a part of the product experience. Finix is enabling the next wave of modern companies by providing a suite of foundational building blocks for financial services that software companies can make their own. The tools required to fully craft an amazing experience around payments historically were complicated to use and required immense investment to master. Now with Finix’s payments infrastructure, software companies who are serious about growth and serving their customers can embed payments in half the time and at a fraction of the cost.
