Finix has two ways to send receipts:
- Via Email: You can send receipts via Email. The email will contain information about the transaction and a button to view the receipt.
- Via SMS: You can send receipts to a phone number. Buyers will receive a link to view a PDF of the receipt.
Sending a Receipt on the Virtual Terminal
To send a receipt on the virtual terminal, you can follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Virtual Terminal
- Select Sale or Authorization
- Enter the details of the buyer
- Click next, and you'll enter the Review page.
In the review screen, you have the option to:
- Email a receipt to the buyer upon success: You can enter multiple email addresses you want to be emailed upon completion of the payment.
- Email a copy of the receipt to yourself: This will automatically send a copy to your email.
When the payment is complete, Finix delivers an email to the email addresses specified.
Viewing the Receipt History on a Payment
When you click on a Payment, you can see the receipt history. This includes all receipts sent online (email, sms) or in-person via a device.
From this page, you can send the receipt to additional individuals. We support SMS and Email options.
Creating a receipt for a previously created Payment
You can create a new receipt for a payment that was previously created.
In this screen, you will have the option to add in optional details such as:
Amount Breakdown
- Subtotal
- Discount
- Shipping
- Tax
- Tip
- Surcharge
- Convenience Fee
- Rent Surcharge
Itemized Product Details You can itemize a receipt. Line items include a unit price, quantity, and optional fields such as descriptions or images.
Once you are ready to create your receipt, you can send the receipt to the provided email addresses or phone numbers you supply.
