Follow this guide to activate your Standalone Terminal and process your first transaction.
Step 1: Unbox Terminal
You will receive your terminal via Fedex. Your Finix Point of Contact will provide you a tracking number. If you ordered a device using the Device Store, that information will be available in your Finix Dashboard.
Step 2: Connect Device to Wifi and Install Updates
Powering on the Device
The PAX A800 and Pax A920 Pro terminal comes with a USB-C cable and an AC power adapter.
- Connect the power adapter or USB-C cable to a power source.
- Charge the device to at least 70%.
- Once the device is charged, press and hold the power button down for 2 seconds until the LCD backlight turns on.
Connecting to the Internet
PAX A800 and Pax A920
The terminal can connect to the internet using:
- a Wi-Fi network
- 4G LTE
We strongly recommend using a Wi-Fi network to connect to the internet. To connect to Wi-Fi, follow the steps below:

Tap on Settings

Enter the password: pax9876@@

Tap on Network & Internet
- Tap WiFi
- Select your Network and Connect
Step 4: Downloading the Finix Payment App
- Open the Pax Store and navigate to "My Apps"
- You should see the "Payment App"
- Click "Open"
If you do not see the "Payment App", please contact your Customer Delivery Manager.
Step 5: Log into Finix Dashboard and Activate Device
You should have received your invitation to access your Finix Dashboard. In the Finix Dashboard, you'll see a Device Management section that will allow you to add your new Device.
If you have any questions, contact your Customer Delivery Manager. They can walk you through this activation step.
Step 6. Create Your First Transaction
Now that the device is activated, you can create a Sale using the Payment App.
