Learn how to get started using Finix as a standlone business or merchant.

Let's get you set up with your Finix sandbox account and detail what steps your business needs to take to process live payments!

Getting up and running largely depends on the engineering resources you have available. We advise customers to first consider their business, and what features they'll need to get started.

Please review our documentation as your first place to go for questions. We do our best to have everything in one place, so you can service your questions from start to finish.

  1. API Keys
    • Create API Keys for your developers so they can begin building your business' integration with Finix! For more details, see API Keys.
  2. Build Your Integration
    • After your developers have access, it’s time to start building your integration with Finix.
    • All the technical steps your developers will need to take to qualify for a live application can be found in our Integration Checklist.
  3. Add your Team
    • While your developers are building the integration, add the other members of your organization to your Finix Sandbox (developers or payment operations) so they can get familiar with Finix! For more details, see Managing Your Team Members.
  4. Protect your business
    • Lastly, at Finix, it's paramount that we keep our customers' businesses safe. We require all customers to set up fraud detection in their integration. You can use Finix's Fraud Detection API to minimize chargeback losses on your e-commerce sales by detecting and stopping potentially fraudulent transactions performed by bad actors.
    • To use the Fraud Detection API, Finix needs to know how your buyers interact with your website (e.g., visited pages, devices used, etc.). We can collect this data automatically if you add Finix's JavaScript library to your customer-facing website, where you collect orders from your buyers. If you have any questions about getting setup, please contact the Finix Support team at anytime!
